Hand pressed pocket mirror features a beautiful peacock, showing off his tail feathers.
Real glass mirror, not plastic, for an undistorted reflection. The strong magnet will easily hold 4 sheets of paper, while the pinback button/badge has a large secure pin closure. As a pin, think of it as jewelry for your clothes or purse. Perfect size for dropping into your purse or pocket, or pinning onto a jacket or backpack.
My illustrations are filled with variations of my original hand marbled papers. The artwork is protected by a layer of Mylar, giving it a shiny appearance. An organza bag is included with your mirror to help protect it from scratches in your purse or briefcase, or whatever you tuck it into.
Choose the mirror, magnet or pin using the drop down menu. You can also choose different combinations of the three, or get them all together in a set.

Working with Photoshop, I scan my original hand marbled papers, and then play with color changes. My kaleidoscopes/mandalas are created in Illustrator from wedges taken from the papers. Images are then resized to fit the buttons and then put together using a professional button press (non-electric!)
Designs based on my original hand marbled papers find their way onto all sorts of products - handmade, by me.
I'm a reader, a writer, a sketcher, and more...
I was a professional calligrapher for years, which led me to the ancient Turkish art of marbled paper. Inks or paints are floated on a specially prepared water bath, and are then manipulated into patterns by use of rakes. A sheet of prepared paper is then laid onto the paint/ink, to create a contact print. My colors and my patterns are not quite traditional - my color choices tend to be very bright, and I introduce more movement into the traditional patterns.
Due to chemical sensitivities, I no longer produce new papers, but by use of my computer, I can, and have, made use of my remaining papers in new ways. I hope you enjoy my creations.
